There are many ways to drive traffic to your website, however it can be tricky at times. As you know driving traffic to your website is crucial because it can:

  • Make customers more interested in your services

  • Gives you a chance to make a sale

Social media can drive a ton of traffic to your website if done the correct way. Being active on social media will show your customers that you are motivated to driving your business and help you interact with customers more. Whether it's commenting on a post, answering a post that your potential customer sent you, talking to them by direct message or sending a message to your customers thanking them for being a customer with you. Also another way to interact with your target audience is by posting daily. But you have to post at certain times of the day (see chart below).

Twitter: 8 AM 9 AM 10 AM 12 PM 1 PM 7 PM 8 PM 9 PM

Instagram 12 PM 1 PM 5 PM 6 PM 8 PM 9 PM

LinkedIn: 5 PM 6 PM


These are the best times to post because people are on there phones looking at their social media at lunch time or dinner time. I am not saying you can't post at any other times of the day but these times will give you a higher chance of driving customers to your website and increasing sales.


More Sales


Keeping customers on your website increases the chances of them becoming a customer for you. Did you know that users spend about 5.59 seconds looking at content on websites? That is a very short amount of time and this means you have to keep customers interested in your content. Here are few ways to do that:


1. Make your website readable. Making sure the font size and font text are readable because who will stay on a website if they can't read what it's about? If people have to zoom in or zoom out of your page because your content is too small or too large then they will most likely exit out of your page and look at another website that is readable.


2. Keep your content short and sweet. No one likes reading sentence that are long and boring. By keeping your content short and sweet, readers will be more engaged.


3. Have catchy headings for readers. By catching a readers eye with a catchy heading, it will help readers be more interested in what the website and services are about. Headings can be a powerful tool when done properly and can keep your readers on the page for a longer period of time.


If your content is readable, short and sweet and the headings are catchy then you will have a higher chance of keeping readers on your site longer. If you have interesting content, readers will be curious as to what it's about.


Call To Action


Adding a call to action is the final step once you have your readers interested in what your are talking about. By having a call to action button at the end of a blog post or on your website, you have a higher chance of making a sale. If you do these two simple steps of using social media and keeping a reader on your website, then you will exceed in your business.
